| the | 01 | Wand: 14", cherry, Kelpie mane core Sam is intelligent, perceptive and strong (though not quite as strong as his elder brother). He tends to be the voice of logic and reason, although in especially dire situations (particularly ones involving his family) this can all go out of the window. He is naïve to a certain extent, and often shows his emotions quite openly. His older brother Dean is the centre of his universe. He is incredibly devoted to Dean, and will do anything for him. Sam sometimes feels like a burden, because he's always been taken care of by Dean, and has a strong urge to prove his worth and carry his weight. Occasionally, he'll feel a slight irritation at being the "baby", but he knows that his brother just wants the best for him. Sam has father issues because he doesn't know his dad well, and as a result he has trouble trusting him. Sam is slightly softer than Dean, and as a result he connects with others more easily. He's a caring and sympathetic person, and is also brave, if a bit reckless. |
| sweet | 02 | Sam was born on May 2nd, 1993 in Glastonbury, England to Mary and John Winchester, and has a brother, Dean, who is two years older than him. John was a Beauxbatons professor up until the evil wizard Azazel killed Mary, before setting the house on fire. John saved Sam and Dean from the blaze, and John then became a vigilante hunter of evil wizards, having very little trust for wizards in general (despite himself being one). He passed this mistrust on to his sons, and because of John's job keeping him busy across the British Isles and Europe, Sam was mostly raised by Dean. Sam has slightly more trust for wizards than his brother and father, and finds it easier to relate to others. |

Whilst in the United Kingdom, John would leave Dean and Sam with his friend Bobby, who was also a hunter of evil wizards and dark creatures. Sam was not interested in becoming a vigilante hunter like his father (although Dean would often go on excursions during the summer vacations) and resented him for robbing them of an innocent life. One day, John vanished into thin air, and Sam was left entirely to the care of Dean. Although Dean was accepted into Hogwarts, he put off his enrollment for two years so that he could look after Sam until he was also accepted. |
